Life in the lab has its own peculiarities that are best understood by those who toil away for long hours, keeping cells fed and happy day after day. I can’t say I have first hand experience with it myself, but often hear about it from the many trainees connected to the Stem Cell Network. Given that it’s summer and there are likely many lab-bound trainees who haven’t had much time for vacation, today we are featuring some lab humour to lighten the load. The comics below, part of a series that compares real science to movie science, are from the Upturned Microscope, a blog that provides an amusing and poignant glimpse into the realities of lab life.
Our regular feature, Right Turn, showcases the “lighter” side of stem cells and regenerative medicine. Every Friday, we will bring you cartoons, photos, videos and other content that may be just as thought provoking as the written submissions that you are used to finding here, but they definitely won’t be blogs.
