More than 450 people were in Toronto, Canada, this week to attend the 2015 Till & McCulloch Meetings. As you would expect from Canada’s premier stem cell conference, there was great science, interesting debates, multiple awards, talks by industry and lots of valuable networking.
I did my best to follow some of the basic science talks, but found the industry and ELSI (ethical, legal and social implications) presentations more my speed (and in English, rather than “science”). But don’t despair. Signals bloggers, who do appreciate the nuances of the science, were there to report on some of the talks that grabbed their attention. I wasn’t on the lookout for good content for Right Turn, but I nevertheless found something. It is unique and clever and cheesy. And I mean that in the nicest way. This video, by conference sponsor STEMCELL Technologies, captures the tone and production quality of the original that it is parodying. It should be enjoyable to Trekkies and non-Trekkies alike.
