Here at Signals, we are gearing up for our sixth blog carnival, to be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021.

If you’ve never read one before, Signals’ blog carnival is a collection of posts from thought leaders and influential bloggers all centred around one theme. In August, you’ll visit Signals and, through one blog post (mine), have access to half a dozen others.

I started this in 2016 as a fun and unique way to share ideas and opinions about regenerative medicine and the cell and gene therapy industry. All the writers are assigned the same topic, but, as you’d expect, their approaches are quite different. That’s what makes the blog carnival so enjoyable: one topic, many perspectives, lots to think about. You can peruse past blog carnivals to get you in the mood.

I’m not going to reveal the topic today, although the video below is a not-very-subtle hint at the broader theme. If you’re of a certain age, you may find yourself laughing out loud – or wincing when you recognize yourself in the jokes.
